Kathy Tuchalski was born in Modesto
and raised in Southern California, Kathy grew up with an interest in
children and animals. This was the main focus of her artwork in the
early years.
After returning to the Modesto area in 1978, she began working
part-time while raising her family. Working as a clerk with a local
police agency, Kathy began drawing police "composite" sketches of
suspects.
Attending classes at the Scottsdale Artist’s School in Arizona and
the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia, she took advanced studies in
composite drawing and three -dimensional facial reconstruction from
skeletal remains. This valuable training has allowed Kathy to increase
her skills in the area of fine art.
She has also taken drawing and painting classes at Modesto Junior
College under the instruction of Dan Peterson and Jerry Reilly. She has
also attended workshops with color pencil artist Bet Borgeson,
watercolor artist Rose Eden, and acclaimed painter Robert Burridge.
Kathy enjoys working in pastels, watercolor, colored pencil, acrylic
paints and mixed media. Her artwork includes realistic representations
as well as abstracts and design.
Kathy lives with her husband in Groveland, California, and is an
active member of the Sierra Professional Artists Association. She is
also a member of the Central California Art Association in Modesto,
California.

Jean started her training as an artist the summer of 1943 while
attending the California school of Find Arts in San Francisco. She
always enjoyed drawing as a little girl and along with several
girlfriends spent many hours in the classroom and at home enjoying the
gifts of creating with a pencil and brush.
After graduation from Lowell High School in San Francisco, Jean majored in Arts at
the University of California in San Francisco and Hayward. She received
and Adult Education Credential from U.C. in Berkeley, and has been
teaching art in the San Leandro, Fremont and Union City adult school for
over 20 years.
She was most happy using her abilities to create art forms in the
medium of painting, pottery and metal and clay sculptures. It
wasn't until the later part of her life that she realized that creating
art was a reminder that she was co- creating all the events of her life.
The source of this information was through the teachings of Quantum
physics. "That in the material universe there is nothing there, that we
co create; from Virtual level through that Quantum level, into the
material level."
So I am beginning to use this knowledge to joyfully co- create
everything including Art. And you can too!
Jean's paintings have been on display in numerous galleries, shows
and in private collections

Geneva was born in Texas and moved to
California where she began her painting career after raising her
family.
She enjoys painting many subjects, such as
florals, gardens, figures, animals and landscapes. Geneva has
done many commissioned paintings. Some include portraits of her
grandchildren and pets.
Painting for her is excitement and satisfaction
that nothing else can match. She usually has several paintings
going at once. When a painting is going well it energizes her
and she can't wait to finish it. She paints in many mediums,
oils, watercolor, acrylics, and pastels and has won numerous
awards in her painting career.
You may view her paintings at Pinecrest Gallery
in Pinecrest, California, All That Matters Gallery in Twain
Harte, California, Scenerio Gallery in Angels Camp California
and several business locations. Her work may be seen at her
studio at 20585 Lori Lane, Sonora, California. Her paintings are in many private collections.

Ed is a local artist of Tuolumne County. Working primarily in oils,
he enjoys painting views of the Central Sierra as well as sites in
Wyoming, Hawaii, and Mexico. In addition to landscape painting, Ed has
painted Maritime themed works as well as folk and square dancers.
Ed’s career in producing mechanically aided submittal drawings for
architectural design and application sent him to far away places in the
South Pacific including Hawaii, the Marshal Islands, Guam, and the
Midway Islands.
His fine art training includes classes in Extended Adult Education
at the University of Hawaii (under the instruction of "Sato") and
Columbia Junior College of Central California (with well known local

As a native of California I've used the Sierras and the foothill
animals, birds, old buildings, and people as my subjects. Working in
water colors, acrylics, and graphics in both black and white and with
colors.
I've shown my work at the California State Fair, South West
Artists Shows in Fresno, Merced and Oakhurst, also in the Central
California Art League Gallery in Modesto, Mariposa County Art Council
gallery, and in The Galleria de Vallarta in Puerto Vallarta in Mexico
I've been a resident artist, for seven years, at Lake Tahoe
Tallic Association Gallery on the Lake. My paintings are in homes from
Japan to Australia as well as Bay Area and Tahoe residences.
I have designed Logo's for The Mariposa County Seal, the Northern
Mariposa County History Center, The Mariposa County Indian Council and
the Happy Valley Brewing Company. I illustrated two cook books and two
memories of the early California exodus into California from the dust
bowl era.
I have studied with Dr. Geron Rios of Columbia College and am
presently taking classes from Jim Leitzel an instructor at Columbia
College.
I've recently joined the Sierra Professional Artists in Groveland
and am excited about their plans for expanding our art markets.
I feel that I can never learn enough as far as the arts are
concerned and I feel it is important to keep learning new techniques.
